CIGP and TFN Sign MoU to Advance Good Governance, Digital Innovation, and Social Inclusion

The Center for Innovative Governance Practices (CIGP) and Together for Nepal (TFN) have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in advancing good governance, digital transformation, and inclusive socio-economic development across Nepal.

The agreement, signed by CIGP Executive Chairperson Krishna Hari Baskota and TFN Executive Director Subhashan Bhattarai, establishes a collaborative framework aimed at promoting accountable, forward-looking, and citizen-centered governance. Both organizations share a common vision of enhancing Nepal’s governance ecosystem through innovation, evidence-based policymaking, and strengthened public service delivery.

According to the MoU, the partnership will focus on key areas including engagement with government and development partners, digital governance and AI awareness, and initiatives promoting social equality and justice. The two organizations will jointly design programs that support the digitalization of government systems, develop training on Artificial Intelligence for governance, and promote inclusive policy processes that reflect the needs of marginalized groups.

The collaboration also emphasizes shared learning, joint research, and the creation of platforms such as workshops, learning circles, and policy dialogues. Additionally, both institutions will explore opportunities for joint project development and resource mobilization to further governance innovation and institutional strengthening.

The MoU will remain in effect for 12 months from the date of signing, with the possibility of extension upon mutual agreement. Both organizations have agreed to resolve any disputes through mutual consultation and have allowed for amendments based on future review and necessity.

Speaking about the partnership, representatives from both sides highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing Nepal’s evolving governance challenges and leveraging technology, innovation, and community engagement to drive sustainable change.
